Kitzbühel (POLO+10 – 14/10/2016) – Only 13 weeks to go, then the 15th LICORUM BANK Snow Polo World Cup Kitzbühel will raise the wintry sport of polo at the snow paradise Kitzbühel to a new level. International teams have announced their attendance at this high-class event. And new premium sponsors award an exquisite esprit to the glamorous polo venue and will attract numerous celebrities to the Tyrolean city of Kitzbühel.
With the taking over of long lasting title sponsor Valartis Bank through the Citychamp Watch & Jewellery Group Limited, the successful future of the rich in tradition Snow Polo World Cup in Kitzbühel is saved for many years. Organiser Tito Gaudenzi: „With our new partners and our long term companions we are planning to raise the tournament to a completely new level. International teams with their polo professionals will compete for victory. Furthermore we will extent the VIP-tent and the gala night significantly. The gala night on Saturday will be held in the elegant tent at the polo site and will represent again the social highlight of the whole venue. A few months ago, the Valartis Group AG made the decision to divest their company shares on the Valartis Bank (Liechtenstein) AG. Main shareholder became then the Citychamp Watch & Jewellery Group Limited. The number ten of Hong Kong based companies quoted on the stock exchange has close relationships in Europe: the company is owner of the Swiss watch brand Corum and Eterna. Together with this strong brands the Valartis Bank will perform in the future under the new name LICORUM BANK. Andreas Insam: „Our rebranding will be carried out in the fourth quater of the year. Our employees hold 15% of the company. Through the support of the new big shareholder of the bank they estimate attractive requirements regarding the sector of private banking in Asia.“
Sensation: For the first time, 2017 the world-renowned Maserati trident will find his way to Kitzbühel. The legendary Italian company signed as the new automotive sponsor of the LICORUM BANK Snow Polo World Cup Kitzbühel and will present his super luxury cars to the VIP audience in the Maserati Lounge. With the sport of polo the excellence of the brand Maserati finds a congenial platform to reach out for the perfect target group.
New as well in the line-up of high-end sponsors at Kitzbühel is the Swiss watch manufacturer Corum, which is well-known for its aesthetic and technical quality. “Creativity and Dringness” are the leading motives of the brand which was founded 1955 in La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland). With this philosophy the Swiss brand will of course feel very familiar and comfortable alongside the elegant, adrenalin run snow polo matches.
Interior designer Bernd Gruber from Aurach, partner of the snow polo in Kitzbühel for many years, is again pledging alliance to the white chukkas 2017. The passionate designer will feature his work at the “Bernd Gruber Maserati Lounge” in the VIP tent. Likewise the Corestate Capital Group and the Kitzbühel Country Club join the World Cup as sponsors.
The programme of the LICORUM BANK Snow Polo World Cup Kitzbühel 2017 starts Thursday, 12th January, with the big move in of all teams in front of „Hotel zur Tenne“ in the very heart of Kitzbuehel. From Friday, 13th January till Sunday, 15th January the exciting polo matches start in the morning at the Münichauer Wiese in Reith near Kitzbühel. All guests and local visitors are invited to get in touch with the unique sport at a free entrance.
