At the beginning of the century, Polo was played only 3 months in the year, so there were 10 months of offseason. British players had to go to Egypt in order to play their favorite sport. Three French polo players had the idea to extend the polo in France during the winter. This initiative was taken at the Polo Club of Cannes.
