The International Day is one of the highest profile sporting events in the British summer calendar and is one that combines the worlds of fast paced test match polo with the International worlds of film, fashion, entertainment and society, alongside leaders and captains of industry.
Known the world over, with many years of top flight attendees and Royal Patronage, ‘The International’has carved its place over the years, as one of the stand-out social events of the season.
This year will see the 48th International Day take its place in the newly appointed surroundings of the “Home of English Polo”
at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club, Winkfield, Windsor, amongst the sumptuous English countryside.
Chairman of the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA), Stephen Hutchinson, has announced that the date for the 2018 Coronation Cup will be Saturday 28th July, with the event moving venue to the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club.
The format of the event sees The England National Polo Team (Flannels England) play the principal match for, either the Coronation Cup, or this year, for the Westchester Cup against the USA.
The days second match features England Ladies’s National Team (Flannels England) playing for the Diamond Jubilee Trophy against ‘Rest of the World’ (ROW) Team.
